PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, conducted annually at The Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course, was awarded with the Web.com Tour’s “Outstanding Achievement Award” at the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Meetings on Wednesday, December 7 in Las Vegas.
“I am honored to present the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship with this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award,” said Web.com Tour President Bill Calfee. “After a decade as one of the strongest events on the schedule, the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship continues to grow each year, and the staff excelled across all fronts in delivering their best tournament to date and making a significant impact in the Columbus community.”

- Produced fan and family activations such as free golf lessons, a daily putting challenge, a free pancake breakfast, autograph signings and an appearance from Brutus Buckeye.
- Implementation of an innovative fan experience, “Birdie Time is Miller Time” at the 13th hole with the Pub Thirteen venue, featuring open seating in a sports bar atmosphere and drink specials for birdies.
- Presented an unsurpassed media presentation enhancing the coverage and stature of the event.
